SERVICE GUIDE · SCAILOUT TEAM
Your CES 2027 booth is booked —when does the sales prep start?
There is a schedule that runs separately from the booth
Once CES is confirmed, there is a lot to handle straight away.
Booth application, production, flights and hotels, visas.
Then, as departure gets closer, this comes up.
“We still haven't worked out who to meet on the floor.”
Most of these enquiries reach Scailout one or two months before departure. Sometimes with about a week to go.
There is still work that can be done at that point. What shrinks is the window for reaching out beforehand, and the time left to get meetings booked.
Here is how CES 2027 is scheduled
CES 2027 runs 6–9 January 2027 in Las Vegas.
Registration and hotel booking are already open, and several CES Unveiled events run in other cities beforehand.
| Date | Event |
|---|---|
| 13–16 October 2026 | CES Asia Unveiled Seoul |
| 14–16 October 2026 | CES Asia Unveiled Hong Kong |
| 21 October 2026 | CES Unveiled Milan |
| 4 January 2027 | CES Unveiled Las Vegas |
| 6–9 January 2027 | CES 2027 |
Booth application deadlines and Innovation Award submission dates vary by how you are participating.
Check the official schedule on ces.tech alongside the guidance from your pavilion or programme operator.
The CES dates are already set. What still has to be decided is who you are going to meet.
A booked booth does not book the meetings
Once your application goes through, you get a booth position and your material follows the production schedule.
Who you meet is yours to decide.
Which companies to approach, who inside them to contact, and what the conversation is about — all of that has to be prepared separately.
There is no official deadline on this side. Which is why it often sits untouched until departure is close.
“We had been to plenty of overseas shows besides CES, but this time it actually led to the next meeting. Having someone handle the preparation, the floor, and the follow-up together made everything much easier.”
We usually start one or two months before departure
CES has a lot of exhibitors.
Working through them after you land does not leave enough time.
Scailout generally starts researching exhibitors one to two months before a trip, and finding the people to actually contact.
| Timing | What happens |
|---|---|
| D-60 to D-45 | Settle the customers you want to meet at this CES · research exhibitors and expected visitors |
| D-45 to D-30 | Narrow down companies to approach · find the right person in each |
| D-30 to D-14 | Reach out on LinkedIn and by email · propose meetings |
| D-14 to D-1 | Confirm the schedule · set the on-site route and who covers what |
This schedule sits apart from the official CES dates.
It is the time needed to reach the people you want to meet and get actual appointments in the diary.
On site, we move around the meetings already booked
CES runs four days, which is not enough to cover the whole floor.
Moving between the Convention Center, the Venetian and Eureka Park takes real time on its own.
At CES 2026 we went in with the people to meet and the booths to visit already decided.
Things still come up that were not in the plan.
A company responds better than expected; another turns out not to need a second conversation. Companies that were never on the list get met on the floor.
At the end of each day we went back over who had been met.
Where to go first the next day, who to follow up with, what no longer needed a look — and the schedule was reset accordingly.
“On the floor I just typed keywords into my phone. Photographed the cards and told myself I'd sort it later.”
Leaving all of that until after the show means reconstructing it from memory.
Who said what, what you agreed to send, who you offered to introduce — all of it has to be dug back up.
The follow-up starts the moment you are back
Contact with the people met at CES picks up as soon as you return.
| Timing | What happens |
|---|---|
| D+1 to D+3 | Organise who was met · decide who to contact first |
| D+3 to D+14 | Send the material requested · answer follow-up questions · propose second meetings |
| D+14 onwards | Manage remaining leads · run the follow-up meetings |
It helps to block out time for follow-up in those first two weeks.
CES runs in January. You come back to the start of the year's own workload.
Without someone assigned to the follow-up, the cards and notes from the floor tend to sit where they landed.
Scailout settles who handles the follow-up before departure, not after.
Start from whatever is already decided
Nothing has to be finished before you talk to us.
The show you are confirmed for, your product material, and the type of customer you want to meet are enough.
If you have already contacted companies overseas, or have cards from a previous show, we look at those too.
What Scailout takes on before and after a show is set out on our exhibitions page.
The CES 2026 record shows how it actually ran on the floor.
If CES 2027 is confirmed, start by writing down who you want to meet this time.
Then find the companies, find the people, and get the meetings booked.
It's your turn
