EXHIBITION · BITSUMMIT 2026 → TOKYO GAME SHOW 2026
The show ended, but the list did not
Miyako Messe, Kyoto, Japan · May 22–24, 2026 → Makuhari Messe, Chiba, Japan · Sep 17–21, 2026
Starting with the BitSummit exhibitor list, we shortlisted 152 publishing and marketing partners from 820 teams.
On the show floor alone, we met three teams in Kyoto and five in Shanghai.
At Tokyo Game Show in September, the team plans to meet again with companies already in the pipeline.
Story
We decided not to start from zero at every show or trip
Companies and contacts found at BitSummit in May are being carried through Shanghai in summer and Tokyo Game Show in September.
The game industry has exhibitions all year round
With events following one another in Kyoto, Shanghai, and Tokyo, rebuilding a list and starting outreach from scratch every time was inefficient.
So every company and contact we found was organized for continued use at the next exhibition.
We began with the BitSummit exhibitor list
We started with May's BitSummit exhibitors, added companies from later shows, mapped 820 in total, and shortlisted 152 potential publishing and marketing partners.
Japanese and US companies made up the largest groups, and some companies first contacted in Kyoto were met again in Shanghai.
On site, the schedule centered on confirmed meetings
Rather than walking booths at random, we built each day around prearranged meetings and reviewed each company's recent work and the intended conversation beforehand.
In Kyoto, we met two companies at BitSummit booths and another at a following event. In Shanghai, we met five publishing and marketing partners, some of whom we had already spoken with online.
The next stop is Tokyo Game Show
It runs September 17–21 at Makuhari Messe. One meeting is already confirmed before departure, and the team continues reviewing companies and contacts built up since May.
Previously, each exhibition or trip was measured separately by the number of teams met. Now, the more important question is whether a relationship can continue into the next show or trip.
